New working online meeting in HolUp Project!

The HolUp project has entered the last stage of implementation and is fast approaching completion and obtaining the most relevant results: the training program and training materials, available online in all national languages.

The partners met today to assess the implementation stage and to find the best methods and ways to deliver the information developed within the project.

Soon, after the completion of the translations on which we are working intensively during this period, all partners will organize multiplication events – conferences, workshops – to value the results obtained and to enter the final phase of obtaining feedback and evaluation from the stakeholders relevant.

A new HolUp meeting in Rome

The 3rd HolUp meeting in Rome was a good opportunity to meet face to face and to setup the final stages of the project: the training is prepared for the final translations and then testing with SMEs, VET providers and trainees.

We need to help all these stakeholders to understand the importance of upskilling and adapting to the demands of nowadays society.

The final results of HolUp will be ready in early 2023 and we invite you all to follow us and use these useful resources!

2nd TPM of HolUp in Portugal, June 2-3, 2022

HolUp project continues with a good partnership and involved people! During June 2nd and 3rd 2022 in Barcarena, Portugal, Atlântica University has hosted the second transnational project meeting.

HolUp coordinator, MSKU has held the meeting and ticked all the activities proposed for the meeting: the project’s progress report, intellectual outputs stage and deadlines, all partners’ presentations, discussions, open points, next activities. Partners have presented their work so far and ProEduca has presented Output 3 – Self-Paced Open Online Course. This output aims to provide high quality and timely education and training responses to evolving enterprise and skills needs.

The self-paced Open Online Course will contain materials and resources necessary for the programme. Self-paced courses do not follow a fix schedule. All of the course materials will be available as soon as the course starts. Assignments and exams do not have due dates, so the trainee can progress through the course at his/her own pace.

A new HolUp online meeting

The project partners met today to discuss and deepen the most relevant aspects of the governance model that will underpin the training program proposed by the HolUp project. The issue of future competencies for SMEs and VET providers is the central point of the training program approach, each module of this program trying to provide information, concrete steps, approaches and development for the successful workers of the future.

In the next period, the partners will work together to develop this training program and will try to include all aspects relevant to the needs and trends discovered during the research on future work skills in all partner countries.

HolUp virtual meetings continuing

HolUp European project is on the right track! Today, the international team of the project met virtually to evaluate the milestones and debate future work to achieve best results.

Hol Up is an innovative project co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, which aims to upskill competences of SMEs, VET Institutions and VET Providers in a holistic way in order to prepare them for future works in the digital era.

HolUp: Intellectual Output 1 – information and results

The HolUp project, exactly as its name states, tries to approach holistically the upskill of the SMEs competences, VET Institutions and VET Providers to prepare them for future works in the digital era.

The project started its activity with intellectual output number one (IO1) where partners had to analize the gap between existing competences and expected future competences of SMEs and VET institutions/providers for future jobs in partner countries. Then it gives birth to a comparative analysis and conceptualisation of the gap in the existing labour market needs and future jobs’ requirements on the perspective of SMEs and VET institutions/providers. Also this output manifests different attitudes of the SMEs and VET institutions/providers at the EU level.

After producing the first dimension of the gap report in English, the summary of the gap report has been translated into all partner languages and published on the OER platform.

The Gap Report offers great new opportunities for innovation in training models and processes spanning informal, non-formal, and formal education and education. This output clearly shows that across Europe the gap report has great promise and challenges traditional educational practices. This output proved to be a unique framework for jointly developing generic models and multidisciplinary curricula integrating future jobs’ needs into the VET systems in partner countries.

HOLUP 1st Transnational Project Meeting in Mugla, Turkey September 2021

The Erasmus+ project entitled “Holistic Approach for Upskilling Competences of SMEs, VET Institutions and VET Providers for Preparing the Future Works in the Digital Era” has a wonderful acronym that ASIE team loves: HOLUP.

ASIE members have participated during 23rd – 24th September 2021 in the wonderful city of Mugla, Turkey to the first transnational meeting of the aforementioned project. We had the opportunity, together with our hosts, to establish clear objectives and activities for our next steps within the project. Both the online participants, as well as the in situ ones, we were concerned during the couple of days only by the analysis of the existing competences of SMEs and VET institutions/providers in partner countries as well as the analysis of the expected future competences of SMEs and VET institutions/providers in partner countries. Everything discussed to the meeting shall be put into a so much needed guide for upskilling competences.
