DICErs on the last Transnational Project Meeting in Iasi, June 2022

From 27th to 28th of June 2022, the DICE project partners have met in Iasi, Romania to present and discuss the last aims and expectations of the project implementation.

Two partners have participated online but we still felt them close to us and involved. The project goals have been listed and their status checked, every partner has reported the final implementations of the project activities within their organizations as well as dissemination. Another crucial part was the Virtual Library which includes collections of materials on new teaching techniques, on digital skills, on lifelong digital learning, on innovative approaches in different countries within and outside our partnership. The library is filled constantly with examples, models and tools and is open to the interested public, it is easy to access being viewed as an open resource.

As every meeting of the project, the meeting in Iasi did not disappoint anyone and made every partner tick everything on their list regarding this beautiful adult education project. They even discussed of a future partnership in similar domain. Long live the DICERs!

Virtual Learning Teaching Training for DICE project

The DICE project aims to provide concrete examples of good practice, with personal impact, of teachers and trainers working online with adult learners. In the new context of the explosion of online learning, this topic is more than welcome.

On May 25-27, 2021, a virtual learning meeting took place that brought together practitioners from six countries (Austria, Italy, Spain, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Romania) who shared their personal experiences and the resources they use to teach and train online.

Important and complex topics were touched on such as the role of social media in learning, flipped classroom methodology, gamification, creating and editing video tutorials, warm-up activities, using online platforms to create and run lessons and many other resources and materials that can be used in online education.

The meeting was also a good opportunity to see each other after a complicated pandemic period, of direct dialogue and constructive, formal and informal feedback as well as an opportunity to renew the ties already formed between some participants but also to expand the working group through the participation of some members who are motivated and interested in this topic.

Agenda of the event can be found here.

Start for DICE (Digital competences in Adult Education) project in Rome!

In December 2019, ASIE started a new cooperation in a brand new and innovative project: DICE – Digital competences in Adult Education

Digitalisation – this is the most prominent current term when it comes to describing social change. We encounter the “digital turn” in all fields in our world: in the economy, in trade, in industrial production, in the security industry, in public administration, in medicine, in agriculture, in transport, in the culture and music industry, and – not least – in education.

Project objectives

The overall objective is to create mechanisms that enable the development, the monitoring and the acknowledgment of teachers’ digital intelligence. We will achieve this goal by sharing experiences and knowledge of digital teaching and a virtual library based on knowledge about digital competences in adult education in 6 European countries.

Further aims

a) to assist adult education providers to gain insight into state-of-the-art ICT course description

b) train the teaching skills and digital competences of coaches

c) to increase the motivation and commitment of learners to lifelong learning, esp. new technologies

The extended goal includes the following topics

– Improving the employability of older workers
– Improving self-confidence through adult digital skills development ]
– New teaching approaches to support teachers and trainers
– Provide tools for all adult education providers

First meeting in Rome was a good opportunity for all partners to present their expertise and knowledge on the topic and set the main mainframe for the future mutual activities.

Stay tooned and follow us on this project!
