Green Bridges monthly online meeting – July 2021

The Green Bridges project members have met online on Monday, 12th July 2021 to discuss upon Best/Good Practice (O4). Each partner has filled in a preliminary survey on output no. 4 and the coordinating organization has presented all the responses in order to prepare a common Best/Good Practice Guide for all the organizers of green lines. There have been taken into account from Health&Safety aspects to Equality, Access&Inclusion, Safeguarding, GDPR and Environmental considerations.

We look forward to meeting our partners again online, as it was decided a physical meeting won’t be possible until the end of the project in October 2021.

Green Bridges monthly online meeting – May 2021

The Green Bridges project members have met online on 17th May 2021 to present their reports on Environmental Stories. Each partner came with 1-2 examples, A.S.I.E. presented a nature lover who knows almost all the trails/tracks in Iasi surrounding forests.

Our partners from Finland have presented Sastamala, the town they live in, their organization, courses, activities and main visitor attractions.

The Green Bridges Project goes on

Although COVID 19 pandemics has changed many plans and schedules and put a stop to physical meeting, our project continues and brings to life many activities proving that ASIE members have the right skills to reinvent themselves and adapt to every situation.

Thus, Green Bridges partners meet on a monthly basis since March 2020 on Zoom and discuss important issues for the project, helping each other to obtain the expected objectives provided by the application. Our next meetings can be found here.

In December, partners have created real works of art with natural elements. Here are a few samples of the handmade jewels of ASIE volunteers. They have gathered all these resources during our trips on the project’s chosen trails during summer and late autumn. Aren’t they beautiful?

‘Green Bridges’ activities during and post 2020 lockdown

Although the main activities proposed for ‘Green Bridges’ project in its application imply outdoor activities, ASIE’s Project Management Team and its members and volunteers have developed well structured activities since March 2020 until October 2020.

Nothing can stop these wonderful people to be creative and turn into gold everything they touch. Especially that during lockdown, most of us have understood and (re)turned towards nature and basic natural elements. What did people need most when they stayed in their houses? Air, freshness, nature’s breath, they all sent the environment’s cry.

Below you can find a presentation of the various activities ASIE has implemented or participated to, either urban or rural, indoors or outdoors. https://www.flipsnack.com/EAC9AB99E8C/green-bridges-nov-5-report.html or here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMIsDIYjXL4

Green Bridges 2nd transnational meeting

During March 16th – 21st 2020, two members of Green Bridges’s team had to participate to the 2nd transnational meeting in Bishop’s Castle&Oxford, U.K. Due to pandemy caused by COVID-19 virus, our country faced the state of emergency on March 14th, 2020: schools were closed, all outdoor activities with more than 3 people were banned, people needed a written statement to get out for their jobs, supplies or just walk the dog.

So, all the activities of the project moved inside the house, the members of the project team and all the partners of the project met online through Skype, WhatsApp, Facebook and the base, email. At the moment we do not know if the meeting will be rescheduled or cancelled.

Until then, we just see the nature from our windows…
