Revising online meeting for CHART project

All partners reviewed the results obtained, their visibility on the project website and in other online presentation media, the translation into national languages, the valorization and multiplication obtained through the final conferences organized in all partner countries.

The project proposes different but significant results for the community, the cultural maps are adapted to each context of the partners and the impact is extremely positive at the level of the communities worked with in this project.

Transnational Project Meeting for CHART in Iasi, Romania

The last international meeting for the management of the CHART project takes place these days in Iasi. The meeting was organized by the Association for the Support of Educational Initiatives and hosted by the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences from Iasi, an important strategic partner of the association.

Keeping the hybrid organizational format, the partners worked intensively to review all essential aspects of the project, especially those related to results, dissemination and impact. The project coordinator, Language Link from the UK, who unfortunately could not be present, reviewed the aspects related to the good management of the project and the preparation of the necessary documents for the final report.

The main products of this project are embodied in a Personalized cultural mapping research, a CHART Toolkit (containing 6 individual complete projects for cultural mapping) and over 20 Heritage learning – Educational approaches. All this can be found on the project website, https://chart-project.eu/, where you will also discover an interactive map of each project initiated in each partner country. In the following period, the partners will finalize all these results and organize impact events for their dissemination, multiplication and valorization.

Virtual learning and teaching conference on CHART project

The CHART project included an online learning event at the end of March, hosted by Spanish partner Cesur. During the 3 days of online activities, all 6 partners of the CHART project had the opportunity to develop the skills needed to create project results, especially the materials that will be included in the cultural maps and in the guide for implementing this method.

In the first day, participants had the opportunity to learn and discuss important issues related to video editing – a very important topic in the context of the CHART project, in which media materials have a high value.

In the second day, Cesur had the opportunity to invite a local expert who introduced us to the main issues that are included in creating a Podcast and how to make a successful podcast. The afternoon was dedicated to discovery of Digital Storytelling and concrete exercise on how to develop a digital story.

The last day was dedicated to reflections and conclusions of the learning event, future planning and common action within the project frame.

The detailed agenda of the event can be found here:

CHART project partners met today to discuss key aspects of the project, especially the final results and the impact on the target groups. The CHART project is entering an action-packed stage, which includes an online learning meeting at the end of March, followed by a face-to-face learning meeting in Portugal. It is a long-awaited moment for which the partners will prepare thoroughly.

Regarding the results of the project, at this moment all the partners are working for the development of the contents specific to the chosen cultural maps. These will be diverse, including multiple categories and content: text, video, interviews, drawings, photos, digital storytelling, podcasts.

New milestones for CHART project

The CHART project enters 2022 with the confidence that it will be able to implement cultural mapping projects in each partner region.

Although the health crisis continues, the partners have expressed their ideas, plans for the future and optimism regarding the possibility of meeting and working face to face, at the beginning of June.

At this online meeting, the coordinator reviewed the state of implementation of the project and the main points for the next period. From projects aimed at historical and natural heritage to projects about forgotten / lost industries or music festivals, the partners will develop cultural maps to help communities develop cultural awareness and better present their own cultural and civilization treasures.

CHART – Meeting in Rome in October 2021

The CHART project had the opportunity to organise a mixed meeting in Rome – online and on site, due to the difficult times of pandemic crisis. Despite these difficulties, partners re-connected with each other and with the project: updates on the results and researches of each partner, new dissemination approaches, stakeholders, valorisation and future milestones.

New Erasmus+ project, Cultural Heritage Awareness for Regional Traditions (CHART) starting!

The new Erasmus+ CHART project (Cultural Heritage Awareness for Regional Traditions) has just started!

The partnership reunited (online) to brainstorm about the main core of this project and setup the milestones for future. It’s all about preservation/restoration process of cultural heritage assets and, beyond that, promotion of tourism policies and processes and the cultural, ethnographic and religious values that such assets embody.

CHART project proposes a new innovative practical introduction to concepts which are not known and widely used at European level:

1. Cultural mapping/cultural maps – as an ‘action journey’ undertaken specifically to identify, investigate or reclaim community values.

2. Heritage interpretations – aiming to reveal meanings and relationships through the use of original objects, by firsthand experience, and by illustrative media.

3. Heritage learning – full range of potential activities intended to heighten public awareness and enhance understanding of cultural heritage.

The final products of CHART project will reflect these key concepts and will be usable by a wide range of beneficiaries and stakeholders with full impact on local and regional level and significant progress at National and European level.
